Disfellowshipped for NOT activating my camera on ZOOM meeting
by Aleph inhey so i won't go too much into the details though there would be so much more to say....in a nutshell, you are repentant but not enough so we disfellowship you ....i asked, can you clarified this "not enough repentant" please ?as one of the reason of not being repentant : " you didn't put on your camera during zoom meetings !!!
" they yelled at me, like a bunch of wolves against a sheep....so :.
- no scriptural basis.- abuse of power.- my phone can't handle to have its camera on more than 20 minutes.then they yelled " jehovah does want you in the congregation" !like you are not welcome here....strangely to me, isaiah 1:18 and the story of the prodigal son tells a complete different story....well the whole bible is about love forgiveness and repentance !!

I'm not into conspiracy theories, but Google FEMA clergy response team. Would WT. throw the R&F under the bus to save it's own skin
by nowwhat? incorrect me if i'm wrong but about the same time this was activated was when the wt.
came out with the "we may receive instructions that may not seem practical from a human standpoint".
and it has been emphasized greatly regarding covid measures that "we must obey the superior authorities".

LanceLink great point! Alcohol sales are up exponentially. In pre-COVID years, 88,000 people in the U.S.A die annually from alcohol-related causes. How high will this statistic go or will it all be swept into the Covid-19 total deaths?
I went to a chiropractor yesterday for the first time in months. I wore my mask in and the chiropractor told me that I didn't have to wear the mask if I didn't want to. But, If I felt more comfortable .....

Dutch JW publish open letter protesting accusations of mishandling child abuse and government inquiry
by Anders Andersen intoday watchtower netherlands published an open letter in a national newspaper, lamenting the accusations about them not handling child abuse issues very well.. they protest a scientific report made by utrecht university (by request of the government).. they protest almost everything our minister of justice has said about them.. they place themselves in the role of victims of unfair treatment, discrimination.. they point their finger a other religions (foremost the catholic church) because they are much worse.. they refer to jw being persecuted in wwii, as if that were relevant to the issue at hand.. all in all, they (probably) spent about 25k to 30k euro to publish their bullshit in a national newspaper.. not a single trace of any self-awareness, let alone even a hint of an apology.
quite the contrary.. they suck.. the minister of justice tweeted "this is exactly the problem: they spend money on lawsuits and expensive ads instead of improving help for victims #fail".. see the translation of the jw letter here: https://www.reddit.com/r/exjw/comments/ilair1/open_dutch_letter_a_little_better_english.

Thank you Anderson!
I will agree with the Minister of Justice saying, "this is exactly the problem: they spend money on lawsuits and expensive ads instead of improving help for victims #fail"."
Their response should be: "We have made some errors and failures in protecting children with these specific matters; HOWEVER! ..... We will initiate all of the Minister of Justice's observations and We further propose the following to go beyond...(you get the idea).
The letter is 1857 words of rambling incoherent ideas that few newspaper readers will read in its entirety. It is obvious that this open letter was not written by a professional council or someone with more than middle school education, probably written by, i.e. the Branch Overseer.
This paragraph I thought was comically interesting, just beware "you get what you pay for" because JW's pastoral work is free. I'm also going to call "Bull Shxxt" on elders using "experienced women in the congregation" for anything other than cleaning. Hell, they only used me to mow the lawn or buy supplies to clean. Lol!
It is insulting to anyone who actively provides assistance to the victims and their relatives that minister Dekker falsely claims that victims lack 'low-threshold emotional and practical support'. The opposite is true. The elders of our congregations seek to take a loving and active interest in the spiritual and emotional needs of those in the congregation. One of the ways elders doing this is through pastoral support, which is always provided free of charge. Pastoral visits are one integral and regular part of the religious activity of the elders. They make granting pastoral support a priority, especially in cases of child sexual abuse. If it's a female As a victim, the elders may be assisted by experienced women in the congregation.

Cowardly Change of Policy in the UK
by Slidin Fast inthe britain branch has called a confidential meeting tonight with a controversial announcement.
the message is of such import that it was transmitted by word of mouth only, nothing in writing, ears only.
a decision made by the governing body of jehovah's witnesses and transmitted orally down the chain of command, a decision proving the leadership of this spirit lead body.. the gdpr laws in the uk have been interpreted by wt lawyers so that all record keeping relating to the public has been banned, telephone witnessing and letter writing also, forbidden.. now in a show of supreme bravado the publishers are to be informed that if they wish to, if they dare, they may write to people at their own risk.. bear in mind, nothing is in writing.

After 911, the WTBTS communicated with DO's, they communicated with CO's, and they communicated with Presiding Overseers of a new message/presentation with scriptures that we should share with the public. It was spun as this will be how Jehovah communicates with us as we get deeper into the time of the end.
Interestingly, our Bird Brain PO didn't get the message correct, (duh) and we found out about it months later. Face Palm. If it had been Harmaggeddon we would have died.

Bewildering Background revealing who stopped slavery in the world
by Terry inbewildering background.
even among the greatest religious thinkers and moral philosophers of civilizations around the world for 1000’s of years slavery was not considered a moral issue.. only one civilization developed a “moral revulsion” against it very late in its history:western civilization.. abraham lincoln said:if slavery is not considered wrong; nothing can be considered as wrong.. but why did not even the leading moralists among other nations and civilizations reject slavery at all?.
there is no evidence that slavery came under attack in any other part of the world before the 18th century.

Slavery still exists today in the world and is called "Human Trafficking".

Baptism during Covid - pool must tough the ground?
by jwfacts inthe july 2020 announcements mentions that baptism can be held in an “inflatable pool” as long as it touches the ground.
the pool must not be “on a terrace, flat roof, balcony, etc.”.
has anyone ever noticed that as a requirement?.

Most likely this has something to do with the Yoga practice of "grounding". "Grounding connects us to the present moment. It pulls us into our physical experience of right now, and in the process, creates a sense of ease in the mind and stability in the body. Grounding creates calm, destroys stress, and reminds us of who we are by diverting our attention from thinking and making us feel at home in our own bodies... (love that!)."
Yea, right?

Going to see my abusive jw mother tomorrow
by Simonsez inmy me mother and i do not see eye to eye to say the least.
my childhood was fraught with her abusive behavior.
alas.she is old now and though i have not spoken to her in a year she called the other day and wanted to see me.

Simonsez, I can empathize with your situation. When Dad died I had a brother and his wife take over complete control of Mom's finances. Along with launching a character assassination on myself so that Mom wouldn't trust me at all. It's been 20 years since dad passed and brother nor his wife have worked a day in that entire time, I guess managing mom's money requires so much time. Even before I stopped attending meetings if I called mom she would hang up on me. A family counselor advised me, from her 42 years of experience, that she has never seen any son or daughter in my situation ever restore the relationship prior to the character assassination. The counselor also recommended my trying to restore the relationship for my benefit after mom has passed, basically, so I wouldn't have regrets that I didn't do enough when she died. She mentioned that this was a common behavior with a more loved son or daughter when that parent died. I tried for a number of years and mom (figuratively) completely slammed the door on me every time. I'm fine with it now, I just leave the whole family alone and live my quiet and peaceful life. The toxicity of JW families is no different than the rest of the world. I found that my personality I can't understand why someone would not like me. I felt I needed to purge myself from the toxic environment for my benefit and my families.

Tonight's Meeting
by Studyover induring tonight's meeting the brother seemed to read out something along the lines of "you may be helping a poor sister who you think may be struggling, but in turn that sister may be getting financial assistance from the government.
it is always best to stick to jehovah's arrangement in these matters so that help can get to those who most need it, including the worldwide work".
i think it may have been an article about social media platforms initially and how they should be avoided and then this was mentioned.
